After my refrigerator freezer quit while I was on vacation, I was told it would be almost twice as much as a new one to fix it. The repairman gave me several different refrigerators I should look at. I found this Whirlpool 4 door counter depth refrigerator. I absolutely love it. My other fridge was only 12 years old. I love the 4 doors especially for the freezer compartment. It is not quite as big inside as my old refrigerator, but it is perfect for me. Very sleek. I am loving it more everyday.

Rated 3 out of 5 by jlbg from Interior Lighting Cannot be Replaced Purchased this item through a big box retailer in September 2023 -- even bought a one-year warranty, but allowed that to expire this month as it had been problem free. Now the interior lighting has gone out, either strobing or out completely. According to owner's manual, the lighting is LED and does not need to be replaced. Unless it stops working, in which case a technician should be called. On further investigation, it's a common problem, and the part is no longer available. It's a big disappointment as this was a splurge purchase for our new home.

Rated 2 out of 5 by Barbie from LED Warning Bought this refrigerator 07/07/23, today is 10/21/24- the LED light is needing to be replaced. After speaking with Whirlpool Rep. it will cost $212.00 to replace LED doesn't include the cost for their technician come out and take old LED out and place new LED in. If I knew of this expensive (not included with extended warranty) LED light was going to cost $212.00 to replace (The owners guide stated page 14, 'The lights in both the fresh food and freezer compartments are LEDs which do not need to be replaced. If the lights do not illuminate when the door is opened, contact the dealer from whom you purchased your refrigerator. I bought this from Lowe's, they told me to call whirlpool directly.' If your reading this....just be mindful to LEDs and the cost to replace them even when it's told to us the LED doesn't need to be replaced. I'm sure it all cost between $212-462 depending on Whirlpool tech or licensed electrician.

Rated 1 out of 5 by LukeWarmInMichigan from Fridge should be recalled I bought this fridge about a year and a half ago. Shortly after the warranty period expired, the refrigerator would no longer cool. I had to throw away all of my food from the refrigerator. After defrosting and trying other service steps, I was able to get it back cooling again. A couple weeks later the same exact thing happened, and I once again had to throw away all of my spoiled food. I called for service through whirlpool and they sent a 3rd party service company to repair it (for $450) in a couple of weeks. The service guy shows up and listens to my description and doesn't even look at the refrigerator. He said he would be back when he gets a new control board in. A week later he is back for 10 minutes to install the board. It works for about 3 months (just outside the service warranty) and once again fails to cool in the refrigerator. All my food is lost for the third time. At this point I have lost over $600 on food and $450 on a repair that didn't work. I called the whirlpool service line for assistance and a refund. They refused but offered a discount on another fridge. A discount on a fridge that I can't rely on is the last thing I want to do. I have all whirlpool appliances but after this nightmare I won't be buying another appliance from Whirlpool. This is a common issue in the reviews.
