Rated 2 out of 5 by Smokin' Hot from Smoking Control Board After just two years of minimal use - 2 normal loads a week, the control board burned up and started smoking. Did self diagnosis(Youtube) $275 for replacement board. Also suggested that drain pump may have caused the problem so would also replace at $200+-. If I had to rely on a repair person cost would be quite a bit more. Machine was manufactured in 2020 but sat in store unused and I got two years ago. Had a lot of bells and whistles that we never used. Couldn't open the lid to get wet clothes out bc lost all power. Had to remove the entire top section to remove clothes. Who can afford a new machine every two years?

If I buy a new one, it will definitely not be a Whirlpool! This should not happen after 3 years of use. They sure don't make them like they used to!!

It seems to work well but I don't think the instruction booklet was comprehensive enough or specific enough for this machine. I studied it and still had to experiment and guess at a couple settings and directions.

We had purchase the extended warranty and has jad many problems, had the repair guys here 6 times so far, and it is currently broken. again. We have had issues with the latch, motor, some kind of rods. It's very poor quality.
